ENHANCED RISK: Tornadoes, Hail and Wind Today

We will be watching the weather closely today as the potential will exist for large hail, damaging winds and isolated tornadoes. Storms will begin to develop after 3pm in west central Minnesota, and will be isolated in nature. After a couple hours, storms will grow upscale and merge together. Once this occurs, the tornado/hail threat will transition into a damaging wind/hail threat.

The greatest tornado potential will exist across far eastern South Dakota, into central Minnesota. This is where the Storm Prediction Center has outlined a 5% tornado risk (brown area).

Our chase team has been deployed and will be streaming live this afternoon at ChaserNation.com. Continue to check back to IowaChase.com for the latest updates.
