Enhanced Risk of Severe Storms Tonight

Our next round of thunderstorms will develop and move into southwest Iowa begin this evening, then spreading east during the overnight hours. A few of the storms will have the potential to be severe, capable of producing large hail up to 2″ in diameter, damaging wind gusts up to 75-mph, and localized flooding from heavy rainfall. The greatest threat for severe weather will be in southwest through central Iowa during the evening and early overnight hours.
