Iowa Severe Weather Outlook

Strong to severe storms will develop across northwest Iowa later this afternoon ahead of a cold front. The primary threat will be damaging wind gusts up to 70-mph, with a secondary threat of large hail. Storms will develop after 4pm across extreme northwest Iowa into southern Minnesota and will advance off to the southeast this evening. As this happens, a line of storms will develop, creating a damaging wind threat. Storms will push into central Iowa after 11pm and will then enter eastern Iowa after 2am.
