The Storm Prediction Center has upgraded the severe weather outlook for today, to an enhanced risk across portions of southeast Nebraska and northeast Kansas. Across Iowa, there is a slight risk of severe weather, west of interstate 35.

Thunderstorms are expected to redevelop during the afternoon along and ahead of the cold front. These storms will be capable of producing very large hail and damaging winds. The tornado threat is non-zero, but is somewhat low.

We will have another update in the morning, so check back here for the very latest updates.
