Dubuque Sets Daily Rainfall Record Wednesday

Dubuque Iowa Flash Flooding

Heavy rain fell in Dubuque Wednesday morning, which added up rather quickly. The city of Dubuque reported 1.45″ of rainfall which broke the previous one day rainfall record. The previous record was 1.39″, set back in 2003. One mile northwest of town, a trained storm spotter reported 2.45″ of rainfall. All of this water, in a very short amount of time created for some flash flooding around the streets of Dubuque.
