Dense Fog Advisory Monday

Iowa Dense Fog Advisory

The National Weather Service has issued a dense fog advisory, which is in effect until 6am Monday.

Areas of visibility to near zero at times will occur over the impacted area. Elsewhere variable visibility from one half to one quarter mile visibility can be expected.

Travel will be slow at times due to poor visibility. Due to cold temperatures near the surface, any frost that develops on area road surfaces overnight may lead to a few slippery spots. Use caution and drive carefully.

A dense fog advisory means visibilities will frequently be reduced to less than one quarter mile. If driving, slow down, use your low beam headlights, and leave plenty of distance ahead of you. Allow extra time to reach your destination safely. Be especially cautious near intersections and railroad crossings.
