After a busy day with severe weather and snow across the state, another weak system will be moving through the state tomorrow morning. Snowfall from this weak system will be confined mainly between interstate 80 and highway 30. This is where 1″ to 1.5″ of snow will be possible. The higher snowfall totals will occur across west central Iowa and this is where up to 2″ of snow may be possible.
Snow will begin after 8am Thursday and will push to the east across the state. Snow will then begin across central Iowa after 10am Thursday, before eventually dissipating during the afternoon Thursday. A much large storm system is still on track to move through the state early next week. The track of this storm system is still uncertain so continue to check back for the latest updates.
