A warm front will be lifting north through the state early Monday morning. This will provide the chance for isolated showers and thunderstorms across central Iowa near sunrise Monday. South of the warm front, temperatures are expected to be in the mid to lower 80’s.
As the low and cold front continues southeast through the state Monday afternoon, more thunderstorms will be possible Monday afternoon into early Tuesday morning. A few of these storms may be strong, especially in western Iowa, with large hail the main threat.
