As a frontal boundary pushes into Iowa, it brings with a chance of severe weather for the entire state of Iowa. This is a particularly tough risk to nail down, as multiple areas of severe weather may generate over several areas.
For here in Iowa, strong to severe thunderstorms are expected to develop Friday afternoon and into the evening hour. These storms will push west to east across Iowa. At this time it appears strong, damaging winds and some large hail are the greatest threats. Tornadoes are not expected but a brief spin up may occur as fast moving storms push across Iowa.
