It’s an extra hairspray type of day as the winds are howling. A wind advisory will remain in effect for portions of central, northern and western Iowa through 6pm this evening. This is where winds are gusting between 40mph and 50mph.
As of 12:42pm, the highest reported wind gusts have been across north central and northwest Iowa. The highest measured wind gust has been 53 mph at the Spencer Municipal Airport. Winds will decrease after sunset, but will still remain breezy overnight. Hold onto your hats and have a great rest of your Monday!
