Snow plows are back on the roads, snow blowers are gassed up and now Iowans take to the monumental task of moving all of this snow in bitterly cold conditions. Anywhere from 5”-20” of snow fell across parts of Iowa overnight, with the largest snow totals reported just east of Cedar Rapids and Iowa City across a narrow band where thundersnow was reported last night.
Snow plows in most of the state have resumed operations but it could be more than 12 hours before many side streets get some attention in the larger cities. Road conditions will remain poor as strong wind gusts continue to cause problems over much of the state. A reminder that we have a number of photos that we continue to add on our facebook fan page.
