Light snow is forecast between Sunday afternoon and Monday morning with amounts of up to 2 inches possible. Very strong winds will develop during this time, with gusts in excess of 40-mph create considerable blowing and drifting of snow. Blizzard conditions will be possible along with near whiteout conditions at times.

A blizzard watch is in effect from Sunday afternoon through Monday morning. Snow will begin to fall late Sunday afternoon through Monday morning. Snowfall accumulations will be up to 2 inches. Winds will be sustained out of the northwest at 25 to 35-mph with guest in excess of 45-mph. Visibilities may drop below one quarter mile for an extended period with near whiteout conditions possible at times.

Considerable blowing and drifting snow may create treacherous travel conditions and make travel nearly impossible in some areas.

A blizzard watch means there is a potential for falling and/or blowing snow with strong winds and extremely poor visibilities. This can lead to whiteout conditions and make travel very dangerous.

  1. Zach – I would ‘strongly’ suggest that dates be put on articles such as the above one so anyone reading them would know whether it is for something ‘coming up’ or something ‘just past’ that hasn’t been deleted. Thank you. Larry at: [email protected]
