Temperatures tonight will again drop into the zero to 5 below range. These cold temperatures when combined with northwest winds of 8 to 15-mph will produce wind chills colder than 20 degrees below zero at times. The coldest wind chills will occur from around midnight tonight to 9am Thursday.
These wind chills could cause frostbite in as little as 30 minutes to exposed skin.
A wind chill advisory means that very cold air and strong winds will combine to generate low wind chills. This will result in frost bite and lead to hypothermia if precautions are not taken. If you must venture outdoors, make sure you wear a hat and gloves.
