Meteorological spring began yesterday, but winter is still not over yet! Accumulating snow will be moving through the northeast half of the state this evening. Snow will develop across northeast Iowa after 7pm this evening, and will push to the southeast throughout the evening. Snowfall accumulations will be light, generally between 1″ and 3″ with locally higher amounts possible.

Iowa Forecast Ice Accumulations

Some light freezing drizzle may be possible across central Iowa by late evening. Any ice accumulations will be very light, but may create for a few slick spots.

After this round of snow clears out of the state by 8am Thursday, temperatures will begin to warm as we head into the weekend. Continue to check back to iowachase.com for the very latest updates.
