Accumulating snow is expected across much of the outlook area Tuesday night through Wednesday morning. The best chances for accumulating snow is across Northern Nebraska, with the highest amounts generally along and north of Nebraska Highway 2.
Snow will begin across the panhandle of Nebraska after 6pm Tuesday. Snow will continue to push off to the east throughout the early evening hours Tuesday, and will begin to fall across north central Nebraska after 9pm. Snow will quickly taper off from west to east across the state by sunrise Wednesday.
Light to moderate snow across the aforementioned region is expected to produce snowfall accumulations of 1 to 3 inches, but locally higher amounts cannot be ruled out. Lighter amounts of a half an inch or less are currently forecasted along and south of the Interstate 80 corridor.
Snow may be moderate in intensity and may create areas of low visibility.
