Above Average Week 4/27/2015

Iowa Highs April

Today was the first day in over a week that temperatures were back above average. Temperatures today ranged from the mid 60’s to lower 70’s across the state. There was an abundant amount of sunshine, which made it beautiful to get outdoors!

iowa_today_avg_hilo_ptAverage temperatures for this time of year should be in the mid to upper 60’s. This above average weather will continue through the week, with temperatures in the upper 60’s and 70’s! Even better news is the rest of the week looks to remain dry, with our next best chance of precipitation returning late Sunday into Monday, and this looks to be on the light side right now.

Spring is in full swing, and some of you may be able to tell this by your allergies! The pollen count is high right now, so you seasonal allergy suffers, the allergy medicine is your current best friend! However, all these April showers are now setting up for beautiful May flowers. Above, ISCN follower Trudy Van Wyk sent in this beautiful photo of the tulips in Pella Iowa! The weather will be beautiful this week to get outdoors and enjoy these flowers!
