Above Average Tuesday

If you didn’t catch the sunset this evening, you were missing out. There was no better way to end a beautiful above average December day. The photo above comes from the webcam in Panora, Iowa.

Iowa Highs Tuesday December 8th 2015Highs today ranged from the low 40’s to almost mid 50’s across west central Iowa. This is unseasonable for the first week in December. Temperatures were cooler across northern Iowa today as clouds and light rain prevented them from warming up.

Iowa Average Highs Tuesday December 8th 2015Tonight, our overnight lows should be our highs. Average highs for this time of year typically range from the mid to low 30’s, with overnight lows in the teens.

Iowa Record Highs Tuesday December 8th 2015Temperatures did not break any records today, even though it may have felt like it. Record highs for today were in the 60’s.

The warm weather will continue through the end of the week before the weather begins to get active by the weekend. Enjoy this above average weather while it lasts!
