National Severe Weather Risk Outlook

Over 8 million people are under the risk of severe weather across the upper Midwest today. The main threat for severe weather will be damaging wind gusts up to 75-mph. A secondary threat of large hail up to golf ball sized hail will also be possible. The greatest threat for severe weather will be across South Dakota, which is where an enhanced risk of severe weather has been issued.

Storms will not move into Iowa until after 8pm this evening and will decrease in intensity as they push into northwest Iowa. Continue to follow the Iowa Storm Chasing Network for the latest updates.
