60’s by Friday, Above Average Temperatures Continue

Did you enjoy the weather today? If so, there is more where that came from, but first…..

Temperatures will cool Tuesday into Wednesday. Highs will be in the mid 30’s across northern Iowa to the low to mid 40’s in central and southern Iowa. Fortunately this cool down will not last long.

Temperatures will begin to climb on Thursday and on into the weekend. By Friday, highs may make it into the mid 60’s for much of the state. Temperatures typically not seen until mid April.

Temperature Climate OutlookTemperatures will continue to stay above average into next week. The Climate Prediction Center has outlined that Iowa will have a 70% probability of above average temperatures in the 8 to 14 day outlook. It does not appear that it is until the last few days of the month that the temperatures appear to cool back into the 30’s, but this is still above average for this time of year.

In the meantime, enjoy the spring like weather. It will be perfect to get outdoors, to wash the car, or go on a walk with the dog.
