For once, there is virtually no change in the forecast for severe weather. You can see to the left the moderate risk area of much of Iowa hasn’t changed much. The same goes for the risk of tornadoes, hail and wind. All modes of severe weather are possible across the state. But the highest risk for large hail and tornadoes is in the northwest quadrant of Iowa. The rest of the state faces its greatest threat from strong, damaging winds as the storms make their way across Iowa during the evening and overnight hours.
As you can see above, we are bringing you a live video feed from storm chaser Ben McMillan and we’ll launch our live chat once storms begin threatening parts of Iowa.
