No changes in the risk for tomorrow, but that means there’s still a lot of uncertainty. A frontal boundary is expected to set up shop somewhere near the Iowa/Minnesota border. But with uncertainty over what storms will remain in the area during the morning hours, it’s not known whether the nearly stationary boundary will in fact set up there or elsewhere. As a result the risk area is very broad and general. Hopefully by tomorrow’s 8am outlook we’ll have a better handle on what to expect.
Either way this does not look like a big outbreak day but instead one of several rounds of strong storms Iowa has and will face this week. We’ll monitor any changes and keep an eye on tonight’s threat of severe weather as well.
